This church with its mustard bell towers is a fine example of the Alentejan Baroque style of the 18th century.

This is a very beautiful listed monument, completed in 1804, whose facade impresses you at first sight. Here an image of the former patroness of the place, Our Lady of Piety, is venerated on the baldachin. With its rococo elements, this church with mustard bells is a beautiful example of the Alentejan Baroque style of the 18th century. It is the arrival point of the procession that every year, on the fourth weekend of April, connects Moita do Ribatejo to Viana do Alentejo. The pilgrims travel 150 km on horseback to the sanctuary!
