MANAYUNK CHAMBERS GUESTHOUSE

Located on the pretty rising Gay Street, less than five minutes walk from the train station, this charming Bed & Breakfast has everything the traveller could wish for. Built in 1877, the establishment was originally a Methodist church before being transformed into a private house and more recently into a B&B. It has four bedrooms, each with its own personality but with several things in common: great comfort, a tasteful decoration and, for three of them, a gas fireplace. A little crush on the Heart Room Suite, the most romantic of all, whose decoration reminds us of the Parisian salons. In addition to being adorable and always giving good advice, Mark, the owner, is an excellent cook who likes to be behind the stove to delight his guests every morning with his continental breakfast. Special mention for the homemade bread and pastries, which have a real taste of France. In the evening, it is very pleasant to settle in the lounge to rest after a day of visits and enjoy the drinks offered. We highly recommend this beautiful address, a true haven of peace not far from the heart of Philadelphia.
