Mosque with capacity for up to 18,000 men and 2,500 women, comprising a prayer hall and library.

Despite its austere and rather discreet architecture, the Al Rajhi mosque is very popular and also one of the largest in the country. It can accommodate up to 18,000 men and 2,500 women. The prayer hall is installed under the huge dome lit by a chandelier of more than 250 lamps. The Friday prayer is filmed and projected on large screens. The imam's preaching is subtitled in 7 languages, reflecting the diversity of the Saudi Arabian population. The mosque also includes a very large library with thousands of books.
