TRAILING OF THE SHEEP

A party in honor of transhumance. Programming includes a variety of cultural activities and programs related to the history of sheep farming in Idaho and the Wood River Valley: poetry reading, music, guided tours, weaving workshops, lamb cooking, all with an emphasis on the Basque and Scottish heritage of the region. The high time of the three-day event is the parade of sheep in the city.
