These combis allow to circulate all around the Reserva de la Biósfera Montes Azules to reach Palenque by taking the carretera Fronteriza which skirts Guatemala, stopping en route to visit the Lagos de Montebello (1h30, $100), the waterfalls of Las Nubes, Las Guacamayas (direction Zamora Pico de Oro, 5-6h, $190) and Lacanja (Selva lacandona, 7h, $285). A nice alternative route in perspective. Departures start around 2:30 am.
