Things to see and do Scharnitz

The gorge offers a 15 km hike, starting from Scharnitz. You follow the course of the River Isar to the entrance to the gorge, which can be reached via a charming footpath. This in itself makes for a pleasant walk, along which you can stop to enjoy a few pebbled beaches. Then on to the Gleirschklamm Gorge, one of the most beautiful wild gorges in the Karwendel massif. Narrow and deep, they are truly spectacular, but should be avoided if you're prone to vertigo.
