To reach the White Desert site, follow the road signs to the car park (for a fee) and then start a hike (2.5 km) to the hermitage. It is better to leave early in the morning, bring good shoes, a hat, water, food.... This fortified monastic complex was built in the 16th century by Glagolithic priests. With its partly troglodytic outbuildings, the perfectly restored refuge with the white stone of Brač can be visited.
