Musée des arts tribaux de l'Odisha

Before a visit to the tribal belt, do not miss this wonderful museum. The 5 rooms list the arts of the 62 tribes of Odisha: textiles, jewelry and ornaments, basketry, decorative arts, everything is there. The scenography is remarkable and videos reinforce the 1,900 objects exposed. Craftsmen are present and produce before your eyes paintings or trinkets. The most impressive is undoubtedly the man creating figurines made of rice grains and colored thread.
