Boiestown is a small town in Northumberland County, located 70 kilometres north of Fredericton, in the centre of the province. Founded in 1821 by Thomas Boies, Boiestown borders the Miramichi River, which is very well known for salmon fishing. The longest suspended footbridge in New Brunswick crosses Thank Mill Creek, it is 16,90 metres long. Built in 1900, it is the oldest in the province. The Musée des Bûcherons is the main attraction of this peaceful rural city.
