SANNIO MUSEUM

The museum's collections cover the history and artistic production of Benevento and its region from prehistoric times to the present day. They are displayed in the rooms surrounding the cloister of the Church of Santa Sofia. There is a rich archaeological section with objects from the Samnite, Greek and Roman cultures. The Lombard section is quite rich, with sculptures, bas-reliefs, weapons, etc. The remains from the temple of Isis in Benevento are gathered in the Egyptian section where a 3D reconstruction of the building can be seen.
