Gothic church with a single nave flanked by side chapels dedicated to Sant Lluc, patron saint of the city
Dedicated to Sant Lluc, patron saint of the town, the present church of Ulldecona was built between 1372 and 1421 on the foundations of a primitive church dating from the 13th century. It is a Gothic church with a single nave flanked by side chapels. It contains an imposing polychrome altarpiece dedicated to Sant Lluc, painted by Joan Sarinyena, representing various biblical scenes: the Trinity, the Adoration, Saint Luke painting the Virgin and Adam and Eve biting the apple.
