HERMITAGE OF OUR LADY OF CONSOLATION

Perched on the top of one of the slate hills that surround the village of Gratallops, this small hermitage offers superb views of the Priorat and the Serra de Monstant. Probably built in the 13th century, this modest chapel has passed through the centuries with difficulty: after being destroyed several times, it was burned down during the civil war (1936). Rebuilt the following year, it is now closed to the public. However, the walk is well worth the view!
