SHRINE OF OUR LADY OF LORETO

The sanctuary of Ulldemolins, dedicated to Our Lady of Loreto, was built at the end of the 17th century to thank her for having protected the city from the locust invasion in 1685. In addition to being a place of religious fervor, where Our Lady is celebrated every December 10, the chapel of the building contains some beautiful and well-preserved Byzantine style paintings. A visit that is worth the trip, especially to enjoy the surroundings.
