PARISH CHURCH OF SANTA MARIA

The church of the city centre of Prades dedicated to Santa Maria has this remarkable that it was built from local stones, reddish coloured. In particular, we will appreciate the so-called «false door» side door, which was now condemned, originally the main entrance of the original Romanesque building, but also the beautiful octagonal tower that surges the building. Miró made this church famous by painting it in several of his paintings.
