MODERNIST HOUSES

The old town of Amposta is also an opportunity to discover modernist architecture. In the Avinguda de la Ràpita, observe the ornate facades of these casas: Morales-Talarn, Fàbregues, Macià and Palau Fàbregas. The Casa del Notari (C/ Victòria) also reveals a modernist aesthetic with its succession of horizontal bands of sgraffito with plant motifs. The Casa d'Enric Ramón (Av/ Sant Jaume, 2), built in the 1920s, was acquired by an engineer who installed steam engines and a rice store, among other things.
