BEACHES

The area covered by the municipality has two beaches: the Altafulla beach, which is a little over a kilometer long and 20 meters wide - from Cap Gros to the Gaià rock - and has a small nautical club and access for people with reduced mobility; and the Canyadell beach, which is smaller (60 meters long), confidential and quiet, and surprisingly located under the cliff of Torredembara. The beaches of Altafulla, before being adapted to tourism, were a place of work for fishermen, who had installed small huts: the botigues del mar!
