SANT ANTONI HERMITAGE

This hermitage is located to the northeast of the town center, on the hill known as Sant Antoni. It was the very first man to have a hermitage here, Baltasar Rabassa, who financed and built the building in 1717, with the help of the fishermen of Altafulla. Besides being a quiet place, the walk that leads to it is quite nice. St. Anthony is celebrated here every September 11. Those who are better prepared may even think of bringing some food to grill, as the site is equipped with public barbecues (and toilets).
