Museum where to discover Borgo Castello, a castle housing it and the ceramic production of Calitri

The top of the hill of Calitri was occupied by a castle that collapsed in the earthquake of 1694. In its ruins a densely populated popular district developed, the Borgo Castello, which was abandoned after the earthquake of 1980. Since 2008 it has been partially restored and now houses a Ceramics Museum, which follows a route that allows visitors to discover the Borgo Castello and the ceramic production of the Calitri region from prehistoric times to the present day.
