UPERNAVIK MUSEUM

In the old quarter of Upernavik, you'll find the world's most northerly open-air museum! The museum includes the old church, the old grocer's store and all the original colonial buildings: the administrator's residence bears witness to the cultural history of the region, the old store of traditional kayak and umiaq crafts (in very good condition) and other items on local culture and history (harpoons, spikes, knives, seal stomach buoys, leather fishing lines...).
