Museum exhibiting a collection by the Danish painter Petersen, who made many trips to Greenland during his lifetime.
This charming museum houses an important collection of Danish painter Petersen (1894-1948). He made several trips during his life in Greenland to immerse himself in the landscapes and lights that he knew how to transcribe on his canvases. He was the first to introduce the magic of the Arctic to Europe (66 of his works are presented here). Upstairs, contemporary Greenlandic artists are on display in several rooms.
