The Disko Line shipping company serves from Ilulissat a large number of towns and villages in Disko Bay, namely: Aasiaat, Attu, Kangaatsiaq, Akunaaq, Qasigiannguit, Iginniarfik, Ikerasaarsuk, Ikamiut, Kitsissuarsuit, Niaqornaarsuk, Saqqaq, Qeqertaq, Oqaatsut and Qeqertarsuaq. Although Disko Line organizes trips organized in partnership with several agencies, it is the only means of transport to travel freely in the bay without going through a tour operator. The boats can accommodate 10 to 60 passengers.
