At the end of July, the Kulunnguaq Run takes place in Qasigiannguit. Suitable for everyone, this trail race offers several distances: 4 km, 8 km, 12 km and 24 km. Behind this race lies the story of a young woman, Kulunnguaq, who fled with her child from the Assassakkaq colony in the 18th century, overland along the coast from the Nuuk archipelago to Qasigiannguit. Runners choosing the longer route will follow in his footsteps. Live music concerts are held throughout the day.
