KANGERLUSSUAQ MUSEUM

This museum provides an overview of the history of Kangerlussuaq when it was an American air base during the Second World War and the Cold War. The flag still flies in front of the museum. You will find the old office of a captain who has not moved since then, as if he had just left! The museum also focuses on the history and development of the region as many places around the city and in the backcountry have ruins, remains and traces of Inuit history.
