MANIITSOQ MUSEUM

Located next to the city's old cemetery, the Maniitsoq Museum provides a good introduction to local culture and history in three houses with three different atmospheres. While the historical-cultural part is vast and represents the diversity of the former municipality of Maniitsoq, the collection of costumes and objects deserves special attention. Among other things, the museum houses several works by the artist Gitz-Johansen as well as the exhibition "Reindeer Land" devoted to reindeer hunting. The only downside is that there is no translation into English.
