Conservation project offering fun and interesting tours of around 40 protected green iguanas in Belize
Created by Mariam Roberson and Daniel Velasquez in 1996, this project aims to protect Belize's green iguanas. Hunting is the main cause of the steep decline in this population. This conservation project therefore protects around forty iguanas, which can be discovered through fun and interesting tours. A strong educational component has been added to the project, to make the local population and tourists aware of the importance of the species' survival.
