The Saint-Marcel church is an old collegiate founded in 1196; the oldest part is its apse with seven sides. The nave that extends the chancel is on two floors, like the apse. It dates from the beginning of the 13th century for its two oriental bays, and half of the 13 th century for its first two bays. The bishops of Nevers, were inspired by their cathedral church during the construction. Several pieces of furniture are eye-catching. The Saint-Marcel church is keeping the tomb of the Appeleine canon, as well as a superb La Piétà statue.
