WINDMILL ISLAND GARDENS

The main attraction of this garden is the 250-year-old Dutch windmill, called dezwaan, always under walking conditions. On the site, there are, among other things, gardens, a miniature revival of a typical nineteenth century Dutch village, the Post House, which is an exact replica of a xivth century hostel (possible viewing of a 12-minute film on the history of dezwaan), an antique carousel and a playground for children., as well as a store selling gourmet products and wood hooks. Not to miss in May: Tulip Time Festival with over 120,000 tulips, sublime!
