Not to be missed! This gondola lift takes 18 minutes to reach the island's highest peak, Mount Capanne. 55 two-seater cabins (beware of vertigo) take you up to the station at 950 m, from where, in fine weather, you can enjoy superb views of Elba, Gorgona, Capraia, Pianosa, Montecristo, Giglio, Corsica and the Etruscan coast... A terrace overlooking the Tuscan archipelago! Good to know: there's a bar-restaurant at the starting point, as well as a refuge at the top of the trail.

The Marciana gondola invites you on a spectacular journey to the summit of Monte Capanne. In just 18 minutes, you'll reach the highest peak in the Tuscan archipelago and the entire province of Livorno. Aboard this recently renovated, open-air gondola, you'll marvel at the splendor of Elba and neighboring islands such as Pianosa, Capraia, Montecristo and Corsica. You're sure to experience some magical moments. Trekking enthusiasts can continue their adventure by exploring one of the trails leading down from Monte Capanne to Marciana. Once at the gondola departure station, you can enjoy a gourmet break in the restaurant run by chef Giorgio Costa. There's also a bar where you can enjoy a drink in a pleasant atmosphere. This climb deserves to be on your list of must-sees on Elba. Not to be missed!

Je conseille vivement à tous d'accéder à la cestovie pour monter au Monte Capanne et vivre l'émotion d'admirer l'île d'Elbe et l'archipel toscan à 360°, la Corse et le continent
Le chemin menant au sommet n'est pas adapté aux personnes à mobilité réduite.
Il y a encore un peu de marche une fois en haut, donc je recommande de porter des chaussures confortables. Au sommet se trouve la plate-forme où les hélicoptères peuvent atterrir en cas d'urgence. De là, on peut prendre de belles photos.
Il y a aussi un bar, mais il était fermé ce jour-là.
Une expérience qui vaut vraiment la peine d'être renouvelée !
