Saint-Cyr-Sainte-Julitte cathedral built on the highest point of Nevers and with contemporary stained glass windows.

Built at the highest point of Nevers, the cathedral of Saint-Cyr-Sainte-Julitte has the particularity of having two choirs: one Romanesque, the other Gothic. Built on a baptistery of the VIth century, successive fires were worth rebuilding it in the XIIth and XIIIth centuries. Very damaged by the bombing of July 16, 1944, long and expensive works were necessary. Classified as a historical monument in 1862, the cathedral has beautiful contemporary stained glass windows.

Belle église aux vitraux très modernes / contemporains.
Pendant ma visite, une grande partie était en travaux et je n'ai pas pu tout visiter.
