JEFFERSON HISTORICAL MUSEUM

This museum traces Jefferson's history, from its Indian roots with the Caddo tribes, to its rise as a major river port connected to New Orleans, to the settlement of early pioneers from the east. A very interesting visit to the old courthouse. The building is a gem in itself, and well worth a visit. The train exhibit is very popular with visitors, with great detail and depth.
