Tok is a city stage on the Top of the World Highway, located 150 km from the Canadian border. It was founded in the construction of the Alaska Highway and the Dempster Highway in the early 1940 s. Located at the crossing of these two important highways, Tok allows to reach Valdez from Fairbanks without going through Anchorage and joining Haines Junction and Whitehorse (Yukon, Canada) without passing through Dawson City. She was previously an important trading and trading post for the athabascan villages in the region. Located between the Alaska Mountain Range (Alaska Range) and the Mentasta Mountains, Tok boasts beautiful mountain landscapes and abundant wildlife. There are all the services required for travellers (restaurants, petrol station, grocery store, accommodation).
