UNION CHURCH OF POCANTICO HILLS

Another creation of the Rockefellers, more precisely John D. Rockefeller Jr., in order to extend the family estate, this neo-Gothic style church was built in 1921. Inside, you can admire the organ designed in 2006, inspired by the Parisian organs produced at the end of the 19th century, an artistic period particularly appreciated by the Rockefeller family. Henri Matisse designed the rose-shaped stained glass window called La Rosace, which can be seen above the front door. Marc Chagall created the nine coloured stained glass windows that filter the light on each side.
