Elmer Long's Bottle Tree Ranch, a unique place in Helendale, giving birth to a surreal forest on the edge of Route 66
This "ranch" is a unique place along Route 66. It was created by Elmer Long, who died in 2019. At the time of retirement, this former worker of the cement factory of Oro Grande decided to make these unusual structures from the thousand and one objects that he had collected in the surroundings throughout his life. The result is surprising. His totally unbridled imagination, spiced with a pinch of humor and poetry, gave birth to a surreal forest made essentially of multicolored bottles and a multitude of heterogeneous objects.
