PEDIVA
A small bivouac oasis in the Namibe desert, with a hot spring and the Curoca River.
A small oasis in the desert where a hot spring meets the Curoca River, whose dry bed fills up with rain from October to May, far upstream on the inland highlands. These thermal waters, divided into two lakes, the smaller of which is warmer than the larger, are renowned for curing skin-related illnesses. The contrasting landscapes are a feast for the eyes too! It is possible to camp here, provided you have the approval of the local authorities. It's best to be accompanied by a guide.
