The Praia Morena opened in 2007 with 41 rooms. This downtown building was already a hotel before independence. The expansion phase, spurred by the preparations for the CAN 2010 (the African Cup of Nations), consists of a new modern and well designed building offering the hotel a total of 124 comfortable and well-equipped rooms. Standard rooms are in the original building and superior rooms in the new building. A large covered gallery connects the two buildings, including several shops. They are managed independently of the hotel. This elegant gallery is also used as an exhibition place for art and crafts around the bar and the lounge.
Is this hotel the champion of its class? Presumably. It is recommended to add more or less 3 000 AKZ to be housed in the new building. The price difference is largely offset by the difference in quality of rooms and bathrooms. At least for those who love sober and modern on business or leisure trips.
