REGIONAL MUSEUM OF ETHNOGRAPHY
A small ethnographic museum with over 1,500 classified exhibits, offering a fascinating insight into Chkowe culture.
This small, well-appointed ethnographic museum is not to be missed. With over 1,500 classified exhibits, it offers a fascinating journey, particularly into the Tchokwe culture, through three rooms on two levels. The museum was founded in the late 1960s by a group of Portuguese art and Angolan culture enthusiasts, who wished to showcase the habits and customs of the peoples who lived near the port and railroad of Benguela.
