THE PETERBOROUGH PRINTING WORKS (PRINT SHOP)
Former printing works in Peterborough used by the Peterborough History Group to display museum pieces.
Housed in the historic 1887 Peterborough Times office, this living museum, run by the Peterborough History Group, plunges you into the world of letterpress printing. The presses are still running, offering an immersive experience. In 1908, a fire destroyed the workshop, but thanks to the determination of W.H. Bennett, activity soon resumed. Today, enthusiastic volunteers invite visitors to discover the museum and create their own print on a press.
