Little known to tourists, the Malminkartano mountain (highest point of the capital, at 90 m) is one of the most beautiful views of Helsinki. Once the 426 steps have been climbed, you can access a plateau with a breathtaking 360° view. We advise you to stay there at sunset! The inhabitants nicknamed it Jätemäki ("mountain of waste") because between 1976 and 1996, the place was used as a place to accumulate waste from the surrounding construction fields.
