Morabito de São Pedro just outside the Alvaro cemetery, converted into a chapel, is probably the best preserved of all.
In the village of Alvor, the legacy of the Arab presence can also be seen in the so-called morabitos, small quadrangular buildings once used for the worship of Muslim saints.
