Campsite located near the Varadouro natural pools.

For a small fee, you can stay at this campsite on Faial. Here, nature reigns supreme. The grounds are well-maintained and the pitches are marked out by attractive low stone walls. Large barbecues and tables are available on site. The sanitary facilities are clean. There's even wifi and a bar for morning coffee! The site is located right next to the Varadouro natural pools. A wonderful place to stay!

This campsite was probably the most expensive lease value for the money of all of the Azores. They charge per day not night. So we arrived at 10 PM the next morning 11 hours later we left 11 hours cost us close to 100 hundred euros. The prices advertised on the website are all incorrect and cheaper than what is asked on arrival. We explain this to the manager he said it was not his problem. We explained that charging us for the day we leave and then charging new campers for the same day means they sell the same site for the same day to two parties. Really unfair and a total ripoff.

Das ist ein großes Beispiel von schlechtem Service.
Die wollen immer die vollen Tage bezahlt haben. Das haben wir in Europa noch nie erlebt.
Wir wären abends um 19:00 Uhr gekommen und wären am übernächsten Tag um 07:00 gefahren.
Dafür dann 3 Tage zahlen, zudem zu relativ hohen Preisen, ist nicht nur unangebracht, sondern schon unverschämt und abgezockt.
Gutes Essen bekommt man auch in der Bar bei Almoxarife. Und das ist viel besser gelegen.

Eine solche Abzockerei habe ich noch nie erlebt, und ich war schon auf vielen Campingplätzen in Europa.
Wir würden abends um 19:00 Uhr anreisen und am Abreisetag müssten wir um 07:00 abreisen.
Die berechnen aber nicht die Nächte sondern die Tage. Also An- und Abreise jeweils einen vollen Tag bezahlen.
So toll ist die Anlage nun auch wieder nicht.
Schon wieder eine schlechte Erfahrung auf dieser Insel.
