Writing-On-Stone Provincial Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2019, is located 129 km south of Lethbridge and 256 km south of Calgary. This historic site is the birthplace of the Siksikaitsitapi, Blackfoot Nation Aboriginal people. The site, otherwise known as Aísínai'pi, means "where it is written" in the Blackfoot Aboriginal language. Thousands of engravings and paintings of all kinds illustrate these stones.
