THE RED BARN

About 40 minutes from Johnson City, by entering the countryside, the village of Unicoi retains a perfume of yesteryear. On the edge of the village, the Red Barn is a barn where locals find themselves on Thursday evening to listen to bluegrass. The mini-stage hosts musicians'families while the public (mostly older and in bib) eats dishes prepared for all by the community. A real dive in the heart of the Appalachians.
