LOCKPORT CAVE & UNDERGROUND BOAT RIDE

This 70-minute guided tour takes you through the meanders of the Erie Canal: the dark tunnels in which you will walk, which extend for nearly 650 metres, were used to carry the water whose power was used to supply the city's factories with energy. The last part of the underground tour takes place on a small wooden boat. The tour also takes place outdoors and will give you the opportunity to admire the city's two locks, Locks 34 & 35, as well as The Flight of Five, the original locks that celebrated their 100th anniversary in 2015.
