OLD MILL
The old Pigeon Forge mill produced flour that was crucial to the existence of the early settlers of the area.
Pigeon Forge's Old Mill is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Built in 1830 on the site of the forge that gave the town its name, this water-powered mill produced the flour that was crucial to the existence of the region's first settlers, and even provided Pigeon Forge with electricity until 1935. Today, Pigeon Forge is a very popular place to visit and relax, and has of course been developed for tourism: general store, pottery workshop, confectionery store and restaurant are all located around the old wooden mill, which is still in operation and has retained all its charm. Many of the products sold on site are made from the grains ground here: cookies, cornbread, pancakes, muffins...
