The pagoda was built under the reign of Ly (1010-1225) and expanded in 1262 by the Trân. It was restored many times, but retains some original elements such as the 96 lotus-shaped stone columns. The tower, built in 1305, is also remarkable, as is the expressiveness of the statues that populate the pagoda.
