In the village of Largitzen, the Margaux Helicopter Farm is a unique place where snails are born and raised in open-air pens. The pens are planted with vegetation that provides both shelter and food for the snails. The snails are raised by hand and fed on guaranteed GMO-free cereals and minerals. Largitzen is surrounded by forests, meadows and cattle, and is about 30 km from Saint Louis, Mulhouse, Montbéliard and Belfort.
