Located in the centre of Ghent, this informal and cheap hotel has 23 rooms, of which 17 with bathroom and 6 with washbasin (shower and toilet in the corridor). The kitchen, open and friendly, allows for many exchanges, both between residents and owners. If you show yourself interested, they will give you their best Gent addresses. Well maintained, family atmosphere. Certainly one of the best value for money in the city.

I’ve never stayed in a dirtier, sanitarily unsafe hotel. For €115 per night, members of our group had mould growing on their beds, bathroom walls, curtains and blankets. There were broken electrical sockets hanging off the walls, some of the radiators did not work, and when we brought this to management and the reception, they recommended we ‘turn on the radiators’. Overall, we had 8 rooms booked for 3 nights. We left after the first night, as it was disgusting to the point of being unsafe and not an environment that humans should stay in.

The room looked nothing like the pictures, and was very small. When we opened the door we thought it wouldn't fit and the room would be 99% filled with the bed, but the door swooshed past the bed by about 0,5cm so only barely fit.
As it was so small, there was only little room for our luggage and jackets, but the bed (two twins pushed together) was comfortable. However the bed decoration with pillows and all looked quite dirty with old spots on them, and our window looked straight into another guys room, kind of awkward.
Bathroom was almost as big as the bedroom itself, so bigger than expected, but it was in poor condition. Black moldy bits in the shower, and no hooks or anything to hang up a towel.

Location was great and the woman checking us in was very kind and helpful.
Did not try the breakfast or bar that should be somewhere there too.

We didn't expect too much regarding the price we paid, but still were disappointed, mainly for the size of the room and the condition of it.

A FUIRE RÉELLEMENT !!! Un hôtel ou un dépotoire ?!?!!!! Je ne vais pas vous mentir mais c'est un réel dépotoire, sale et crasseux avec de la moisissure et humidité ! Des poils et cheveux par terre et dans la salle de bain, de la poussière partout, de la poussière dans la douche, des tâches non identifiées un peu partout (lit, mur, , sol, ...), une chambre et hôtel très très très vétuste et totalement dégoûtante/répugnante !!!
