Modern, functional and clean youth hostel near the Castle of the Counts with beds in rooms, friendly bar

Particularly well located, close to the Castle of the Counts, this youth hostel is modern, functional and clean. It was renovated in 2015, as the giant graffiti at the entrance shows. The hostel has a total of 119 beds divided into rooms for 2 to 6 people (including 6 double rooms), all with their own bathroom and really spacious, with those tables in the center for the larger dorms. There is also a friendly and lively bar, a computer with internet, wifi and a collective kitchen.

Des poils dans la salle de bain, sur les lits, sur les couvertures. Des taches sur les matelas et les draps. Une amie m’a même dit qu’elle a trouvé une tranche de jambon dans sa chambre… Pas moyen d’aérer la salle de bain à moins de laisser la porte grande ouverte avec la fenêtre ouverte (elle ne s’ouvre pas totalement). Ça sentait le renfermé et le chauffage ne fonctionnait pas. Le petit déjeuner était bon et les employés étaient sympa. Mais bon, la prochaine fois que je viendrais en week-end à Gand, cet endroit ne sera pas mon premier choix.
