Krook in Dutch means "the bend" and for good reason: the impressive Ghent Public Library complex was built where the river Scheldt bends. To take advantage of this unique situation, you should not hesitate to enter the library's "cafeteria". The cafe has a pleasant, airy space with a breathtaking view of the river and the city. You can eat and drink at reasonable prices. Bonus: from 5pm on Thursdays and Fridays, the café offers an Italian-style aperitivo.
