The Musée François Pompon, housed in a 17th-century mansion in Saulieu, promises a journey through history and modern art. Its collections evoke the rich history of Saulieu and its region, from Gallo-Roman steles to works of sacred art. But the museum's jewel is undoubtedly its remarkable collection of animal sculptures by François Pompon, the undisputed master of this art.
